Lewis is the co-founder and Vice President of Operations for CDP Engineers / MapSync. He is a 1984 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering. Lewis is a Professional Civil Engineer and a Professional Land Surveyor. His experience includes transportation, wastewater collection systems, water distribution systems, utilities, site development and all types of surveys.

Since 1989, when CDP Engineers was first established, Lewis has had a few different responsibilities. Initially, he headed up CDP’s Surveying Department for approximately 7 years. He then served as CDP’s President for 15 years. Most recently, he has gotten back closer to projects and supporting CDP’s Group Managers, by serving as VP of Operations.

He has always thoroughly enjoyed the business development aspect of the business. He loves winning new clients and then getting to know them more closely over the years in an effort to serve them better. Having co-founded CDP, his ultimate passion is for CDP to be the ‘Best in our World’. Lewis is a native of Western Kentucky in White Plains, Hopkins County. He now lives in Nicholasville with his wife and is the proud father of two sons, Noah and Jonah. He enjoys outdoor adventures, such as hiking, zip-lining, exploring, golfing, camping, fishing, hunting and traveling.
